Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal left for China to attend Beijing Olympic ceremony.
Breaking the tradition of visiting India first, Dahal left for China to attend the concluding ceremony of the Beijing Olympic to be held on Sunday. India has expressed unhappiness over the visit saying " it was too early to visit China." This was clearly seen at the airport as some ambassadors including Indian ambassador Rakesh Sood were absent to bid farewell to the Prime Minister. Dahal is leading an 11 member delegation including his wife Sita, communication minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara and foreign secretary Gyan Chandra Acharya. Dahal is scheduled to meet Chinese president Hu Jintao , prime minister and other senior officials. |
